Hi Guys, How’s it going wherever you are? By the way where are you reading the blog from at the moment. I’m writing to you all from Florida. Thank you for dropping in.
You’ve probably come here for the hair update. So lets get to it; so about three weeks ago I pulled out an old book that I have had for quite some time The Black Woman’s Guide to Beautiful Hair by Lisa Akbari. What I liked best about the book was that it was very informative and a lot of the tips made me feel like I’d be able to keep a healthy hair regimen.
After reading the book I looked up Lisa and found her website. I ordered shampoo and conditioner from her line of hair products.
I then decided well if I am going to embark on this hair journey anew then I will just cut my hair and so that’s just what I did. I purchased new scissors and went into my bathroom and cut my hair. I felt really great about it. Lol I couldn’t stop smiling that night It brought me such happiness to cut it to start fresh. I took a few selfies the next day too 🙂 see.
Since the chop I’ve done two washes with the products give me a few more washes and I feel like I can give you a proper review or visual via pictures. Just a note I’d like to keep my hair in its complete natural state however with traveling on the schedule next month I know I’ll want to braid it. I’m a bit undecided at the moment. I’ll let you guys know.
Today was one those days where I felt like it wasn’t doing what I wanted it to do before leaving the house . I was regretting a bit the fact that I hadn’t twisted it :-/…so I just covered it with a fashion turban type head cover. I use Alikay because hair moisturizer because I love that it keeps my hair moisturized for at least 2 days and I also use Taliah Waajid Curly Curl Cream it make my hair look so pretty and really defines my coils and curls. I don’t work for and am not affiliated with any of the companies listed above. I’m just sharing my experience and don’t mind sharing what I am using and what works.
Finally, I’ve just stretched and measured my hair length from the center crown. It is currently five inches in length with the appearance of about 2 to 3 inches because of shrinkage.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the blog post as much as I have enjoyed writing and sharing it with you all. God Bless and Be Well; Great Day or Great Night to you wherever you’re reading this awesome 😉 hair blog from on this great big planet of ours. I appreciate you.
All My Best,
